The steps to build up

  1. Define the questions

You have to start with the right questions in your business data analysis. They must be concise and clear. You have to design your questions to solve the problems. For instance, start with the problem. When a contractor is having trouble with the increase in the costs and he is not able to submit the competitive contract proposals. The question to ask in this case is ‘can the company decrease its number of staff without lessening the quality.

  1. To prioritise the measurement

You have to see what kind of data you got to measure.  If you need to know the cost of the current staff and the number you will be able to know the answer to this question and put them in sub-questions and answers. How many staffs are utilised? What improvements can be done to remedy the situation? You can decide the measure of your time frame, how to measure the salary and the like. Plan how you measure strategically.

  1. Collect the data

When the priorities are set it is now time for the collection of the data. As you organise and collect it is important for you to keep the other things in mind. Determine what kind of information can be collected for your benefit.  You can keep a file storing system before itself to help the tasked team people for the purpose of collaboration. Gather the data through the log to contain the data. This will validate your conclusions.

  1. Analyse the data

After the collection of the right data, you can answer your questions. You can manipulate the collected data in many ways. Plotting it out and identifying the correlations by making a table in excel. The pivotal table will let you sort the data and the variables.

  1. Interpret the end result

After analysing the data you can conduct the research and then it is the time to interpret the results. As you interpret the analysis you have to keep in mind that a hypothesis cannot be made true. No matter how much ever you try to collect the data the chances can interfere with your results. You can ask whether the data answers your question.

These are some of the steps you can follow for better data analysis.
